Kylo Ren's lightsaber is a somewhat crudely constructed weapon, vastly overpowered and unstable like its maker. The cracked kyber crystal inside its metal hilt emits a red-coloured plasma blade when activated, with the excess power being diverted through lateral vents to form two shorter crossguard blades. The lightsaber is a powerful weapon, capable of cutting through virtually anything that isn't also a lightsaber or a similar energy field.
Kylo Ren can sense movements in the Force. On a grand scale, this allows him to perceive elements of important events without being present for them- and on a much more basic level, he is able to react to things that have yet to happen, giving the appearance of impossibly fast reflexes. He is also capable of sensing particularly strong emotions and catching glimpses of thoughts.

In addition to the considerable strength and stamina he has developed through purely physical training, Kylo Ren is able to perform feats of strength beyond the natural limits of his body by drawing on the Force. Feeding on the dark side, he is able to endure immense amounts of pain and injury to continue fighting, even drawing further strength from his pain.
